Round 5 of the Norwegian National Cup was held on Sunday, February 17 in Fagemes. Classes include Touring Modified and Superstock foam spec. The track was very big with medium grip and technical combinations.

At practice on Saturday my car felt good, and the was grip perfect but on Sunday morning something happened to the grip in the carpet and the cars felt slippery compared to Saturday. It could have been the weather, going from -15 degrees to +5 degrees.
In qualifying round 1, Adrian took the top spot with Truls Solberg in 2nd. I lost a pin in the driveshaft so I had a DNF in this one. Since I only drove one lap before my problem occurred I didnâ™t have a feeling if the car was good or not.

In qualifying round 2 I had a perfect run, claiming top spot ahead of Adrian Berntsen (2nd) and Truls Solberg (3rd).
My car was fast but extremely tricky to drive, so some setup changes were needed. I put on softer stabilizers in front and rear, and changed to stiffer springs.
In qualifying round 3 the car was much easier to drive and I lowered my lap times. I improved my overall time by approximately 4 seconds and claimed the TQ spot for the finals. Adrian took the 2nd spot but was disqualified because his car was underweight at 1399 grams. So Truls claimed 2nd spot with Adrian in 3rd.

In Superstock everyone expected a battle between Markus Alvestad and Petter Berntsen. But Markus did his homework and was supreme in all qualifying rounds, claiming the TQ spot ahead of Knut âśOld manâť Enger (2nd) and Petter (3rd).
In the Modified finals I managed to get a clean start and won all three finals. Adrian Berntsen finished 2nd and Truls Solberg finished 3rd. There were no dramatic events except for Truls, who lived up to his name Truls âśshort cutâť Solberg.

In the Superstock final, Markus Alvestad was just as supreme as in the qualifying, winning all three finals. Petter Berntsen finished 2nd and Knut âśOld manâť Enger finished 3rd.
